Departments of Insurance - We Review The Texas, Florida and California
Department of Insurance Websites!
Whether your Department of Insurance is in Texas, Florida, California,
Ohio, Illinois or any of the other 50 US States. They have valuable insurance information
to offer.
Departments of Insurance - Let's
have a look at three of the biggest and and at what they they have
to offer you as a consumer.
The Texas Department of insurance offers lots of valuable advice
on different areas of insurance. Including consumer publications,
and one off information such as what you can expect to happen if your insurance company
falls into financial problems.
The California Department of Insurance is in many ways an inferior
website to Texas. It is relatively poorly laid out, and in some
respects looks like it has been setup by schoolkids! Nevertheless,
apart from the design it is still a solid source of impartial information
and resources. And it has some interesting sections that you will
be hard pushed to find elsewhere. (Such as these tips about wildfire
insurance! - http://www.insurance.ca.gov/docs/FS-SCFAQ.htm)
The Florida Department of Insurance (otherwise known as the Florida
Department of Financial Services) does things slightly differently
in that this site is more concerned with insurance regulation. Instead
Florida groups areas such as Insurance, banking etc all together.
The part of that site of most interest to us as consumners, is the
consumer service section - http://www.fldfs.com/Consumers/- which
has some good "How To" Guides.
So check out your local Department of Insurance
and see what they have to offer! But in the meantime check out our
other insurance resources, including auto
insurance information, life insurance, health insurance and more!
You can also check out the latest information by reading our Life Insurance and Auto Insurance guides that are specific to your state, or get an auto insurance quote at the top of this page.
